On December 8th 2009, TIGA CEO Dr. Richard Wilson met with David Lammy, the Minister for Higher Education and Intellectual Property in the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

Richard met the Minister with Bill Olner MP for Nuneaton, and Chairman of the All Party Group on the Computer and
Video Games industry. The meeting was held at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

At the meeting Wilson and Lammy discussed the skills shortage which exists in the UK video games industry; TIGA's education and skills agenda; and the need for UK Games Tax Relief.

TIGA will continue to keep the Minster up to date on the latest issues that face the UK development sector. Richard Wilson said he was "encouraged by the discussion and hopes this meeting will be the first of many".

TIGA continues to engage with senior politicians and civil servants to advance the interests of the video games sector. #

Over the last three months TIGA has been working hard to promote the key issues that matter to the gaming community. In total we have secured over 130 pieces of media coverage.
